Been a while since i did anything.... over two months now. I've been tickling away at this for ages, started a good three months ago. I got the basic face in as practice and then shelved it. I reopened it recently and was surprised how i hadnt taken it further and had the idea to mix feathers into it. Originally i was much more abstract, but i refined and refined it and the more i did the more "realistic" it became. so I gradually took the more abstract aspects out and here you have it.

I think this must be the first time I've done feathers. I think this is probably one of my more complex and "grown up" paintings to date. Certainly one of more technically demanding.

Props to :devdrawanywhere: who gave me lots of advice and encouragement along the way.

I used some stock references from `faestock to help get the face right... i think there's probably a ghost of her still in there somewhere
