Bit of a struggle on this one. Not *really* sure if I have entirely captured what I wanted. I just could NOT seem to get Selva's face right. Maybe I am being too picky (as usual). This isnt my usual piece as its a bit on the empty side, but I like the empty 'nothingness' that it gives. I was going for a kind of old style pulp fiction (not the film but style of art) look for it, the sort of thing that is on really old 50s books. Well, that was certainly the idea anyway.

The figure is realised from a reference photograph of my good friend and very beautiful young laydee *selva-amarga. I am very honoured that she gave me a series of pictures that will never grace her stock account.

All the work was done in Photoshop (as usual) and took about a week of evenings to complete. Although this feels kinda unfinished right now, I wanted to post this cos I really like where its at right now. I may work more on this at a later date.

EDIT: resubmitted and extended to a wallpaper because DA seemed to have eatent the other submission last night and it was not showing in my gallery, plus I'm using this as my own desky and prefer the 'nothingness' feel to the left hand side. Kinda gives the mood more depth.
