Quiet Reflection

This is one of my two cats, Coco, she is a 15 year old Chocolate Persian, and an absolute princess. This picture was taken whilst I was working on another submission in my study. The light is a small 40w gooseneck which sits behind my screen giving a splash of backlighting to my work area. Coco jumped up onto the desk and sat 'sunning' herself, staring right into the light taking in its warmth. It was such a great opportunity and such a great shot. I managed about a dozen shots before she got in a huff and started to lick herself

Taken with my Canon Powershot G6. The image is completely untouched apart from the addition of the frame. The original image is enormous and the detail is fabulous. I'm not one to normally submit my photography, as my gallery shows but this was too great a shot not to post. It completely captures the colour and mood of my precious 'ickle Coco.

She's got many years of life left in her yet, but I dread the day she goes, because I will miss her terribly.
