Fifth in my occasional series looking at the seven deadly sins. I looked at the first few as being litteral translations in a way, where as this is much more abstract in its depiction.
I'm probably doing snails are horrible disservice here, but what the hell, anything to ge the job done
The main inspiration for the look of this piece was the quote. I had the idea for the snail head thing a while back, and worked up a few trial versions before actually sticking on the idea.
The piece uses several main pieces of stock, namely a dolls head to form the starting point for the image, a couple of shots of a snail shell I found in my garden; the ONLY pesky snail I could find, so I ended up having to get a live snail picture from stock too, much to my annoyance.
The machinery is from my stock account, so I'm actually using it for once LOL
Im sure you get to many comments a day to even bother to reply to mine. but i had to say i absolutly love your gallery. you hve a very unique and amazing style. which is both inspiring and intruiging. i had to watch your gallery and i look forward to seeing more of your work.
