Another AR newsletter rolls aound again and BOY what a change to the AR department since last time!

If you haven't already, please go give luffs, hugs n orly's to ^FallenRox who has come on board to help in the wallpaper gallery.

For a while now I've been struggling with the sheer volume of submissions to the gallery, we're a victim of our own success here, which is a good thing for choice, but a bad thing for just one person to handle... With Roxy on the team we are now back up to operational speed again and I can get back to the tasks in hand!


when I look around dA at all the neat-as-hell artwork being submitted to the digital and photography galleries by all you super talented people, I see work which screams out to be used as wallpapers. It's a little frustrating to see this work and to not be able to feature it or use it and I got to thinking, what is it that actually stops people submitting to the wallpaper gallery? Is it because there is something wrong with the WP gallery, or is it that people don't know they can/should submit?

So, what is it that stops you from submitting?

Any answers will be gratefully received and we will do our utmost to act upon them.


Suggestions for Daily Deviations have been coming in thick and fast recently which is excellent! Keep up the good work guys You can send DD suggestions via note to both myself and ^FallenRox.


ah the old issues raise their ugly heads again.... As many of you will know I've battled with the gallery structure quite a few times in my time as a GD. However, we are aiming to fully address this situation as our primary project. In a nutshell we will be trying to lick the gallery into shape and make it even easier for people to submit to the correct category and also to find a great wallpaper for themselves. I believe that the current layout is not conducive to ease of use. There are still areas which we have not, until now, been able to move forward.

Please please please, DO NOT submit ANY images which are not yours originally, or which you do not hold express permission to use.

If you need to include the phrase "this is an image I found on google" or "This image isn't mine, all copyrights to their respective owners" then please reconsider posting your work. We WILL remove any work which contains copyrighted material.

While I fully appreciate that people love Harry Potter or Transformers the Movie, myself included, you CANNOT post copyrighted material such as screenshots, magazine scans, movie grabs, googled photographs, movie posters, CD/DVD covers etc.
