I finally got around to buying a PS3. The choice was based actually on wanting a good hi def source rather than playing games. It's the cheapest way to buy a future proofed Bluray player I could find. the fact that I can play games on it... well... the icing on the caek

My front room is SUCH a bachelor pad, a fucking huge LCD tv, surround sound, PS3 and two chairs LOL no three piece suite bollocks (at least not yet). Yay for priorities.
Right now all I'm playing is GT5 Prologue which I'm marginally acceptable on, made easier by the fact that I also have the steering wheel for it, and Warhawk which i am truly appalling at if I'm honest. Just can't seem to make the jump from mouse and keyboard FPS to controller based ones.... *le sigh*
I'm probably gonna get GTA:IV and guitar hero III but that's about it. Tempted by the Lego Starwars and Indy games, but frankly I have precious little time to play games as it is and my PC gaming has fallen to zero recently. Which given the power of the PC sat next to me it seems like a tragic waste LOL
What I've been impressed with more is the PS3's DVD upscaling and omfg I love Blurays. The only problem with blurays is the lack of titles right now. The only one I actually wanted to get was Bladerunner (love love love this film). If anyone cares to suggest some must own blurays please do.
After many years of not owning even a widescreen TV I feel I've dragged myself into the present day. Go me.
In other news. Huge things on the horizon... not to mention me actually managing to do personal art. I've moved into my new house FINALLY after several long months of completely renovating the place. But I now have everything sorted just about, with only some tiling and flooring left to go down. It's weird being here 24hrs a day tho, I've spent a lot of the last two weeks feeling very isolated. I guess working from home does that to you at first. But still, summers nearly here and I'll be able to get out more soon

Work wise I'm really getting a kick out of working here. So far myself $
liquisoft and ¢
starvingartist have settled in and are kicking serious creative ass in the UI department. It's a blast and daily I have big grins on my face at the shit we get up to. What's more funny are the calls I have with $
pachunka who is quite frankly a mentalist. In a good way obviously. More so when $
mccann is feeding him espressos at 2am.... Then there's $
chix0r who keeps me sane during the GMT working hours. It's all good

omg, stfu zilla.

A lot of the new releases are getting BD release at the same time as DVD, so the selection is expanding pretty quickly now. I just wish the prices on the high street would go down - but, saying that, HMV frequently do a 2 for 3 offer which helps!

Besides, "bachelor pad" sounds so "just out of college." You have a "Man Lair."
