53 (who?)
So you want to browse the Wallpaper Gallery by specific resolution to match the size of desktop but can't find a way to do it? Well, search no longer! (wow, first paragraph and already I'm punning...)

Here is a neat tip on how to get the most out of the wallpaper gallery by using the dA search feature to single out specific resolutions.

Firstly, you need to select the Customization > Wallpaper gallery in the Browse feature.

Next, you can select a specific section of the gallery if you want, for instance Customization > Wallpaper > Fantasy

In my example I have also selected the "Popular" and "All Time" sections, but you can browse by day, week, month, popular, newest... the possibilities are endless.

Now all you need to do is to enter the resolution you wish to filter by in the Search box at the right of the page like this:

res search by zilla774

This is the filter search for the page (not the main search at the top of the page which will search all of dA).

Simply place the resolution with no spaces, as number x number ie 800x600 or 1024x768 etc, and then click the 'search' button and the page will show the filtering like this:

res full by zilla774

Then you just have to find a wallpaper you like. Unfortunately this is not something I can help with and from this point on I'm afraid you are on your own... :giggle:

Happy searching!

(many thanks to AreteEirene for pointing this tip out to me)

I know this post is really old, but I would like to do this, any thoughts?
There doesn't appear to be the "search within results" anymore. How can I do this now?

Okay, I have a question for you.

How would I be able to search my own :gallery:for resolution size?
did you remove this option?
i cant see the option to change the resolution results.

Oh, wow, I just realized how old this article is...

So... Would searching for 1680x1050 in:customization/wallpaper/ work, or would that only search within deviations' tags?
last time it was better
Hmm i am wondering, does the search function also work, if the wallpapers are zipped and only a preview image is displayed?
Or does the search function consider the artists comments etc. about the available resolutions?
