I am still on a quest (of sorts) to push Illustrator and myself beyond it's current limits. I love using Illustrator, it is a superb product, especially when used in conjunction with Photoshop.

One of the hardest things I find with illustrator is making things look like they are not created in Illustrator... if that makes sense One such thing is creating 3D-esque objects from scratch wihtout hours and hours of line work.

I am fairly happy with the results of this submission. The complexity I've managed to drag kicking and screaming out of Illustrator was quite a challenge. Even thought there was only about 10 layers in the end, the sheer complexity and amount of vectors in this really made my Mac chug. Really chug. Layer effects, although really powerful and add a lot to the package, absolutely kill the redraw times and processing times. Worth it in the end tho

This took around two days to complete from start to finish. All achieved in Illustrator CS.
